Took the Spit to dinner the other night. Beautiful evening. Wife and I enjoyed the ride over. It was dark when we came out and headed home. It was only two miles. The high beams were like low beam and low beam was like a white bean stuffed in a black cat's ****. Gotta love Lucas. Any suggestions as to how to spike up the lum. would be appreciated.

Two words - H4 bulbs

H4's are great, but they won't help unless you clean up the ground connections, which I suspect is your real problem. In particular, check and clean the "bullets" on wire ends and the connectors they go into up in the nose of the bonnet.
