70% of Mallomars are sold around NYC..I found some

I found 2 boxes of Mallomars cookies yesterday by chance, Nabisco rarely sells them in Louisiana. I scored them quickly and ran home. What does this have to do with Triumphs, you ask? Well, the wife and sons found me, locked in my garage, in the driver's seat of my Triumph , selfishly hiding and eating my Mallomars Cookies .

It must be a Triumph thing. I spent ages searching for "Lebkuchen" over here. I ended up buying them over the internet. I didn't think about eating them in the garage though!

Try Aldi or Lidl for Lebkuchen... the ones in Glasgow have them (but only around Christmas) and I'd think they would in your area too....

I don't know if you all have heard, but NYC has outlawed trans fats in foods & products with them will no longer be able to be sold within city limits! I can't believe Mallow Mars don't have trans fats. I wouldn't eat them! Save your self; no wait a minute, hold onto them & post on E-bay, there is going to be a black market for them in the North East. Now the infamous Commonwealth of Massachusetts is proposing the same thing! They are trying to save us from ourselves. Next they will bring back banning convertibles, cause they aren't good for the top of you head! And I don't mean your hairdo.

I don't know how I put up with this state. I moved out of NY to get away from the crazies & they are following me.

Actually, the trans fat ban in NYC only applies to food prepared and sold in restaurants or other food establishments. It does not apply to packaged manufactured food. Restaurants can serve you a Mallomar if it's still in it's original sealed package.

I've a German friend that sends a big tin of these every year. They are great. Really. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

The ones from Aldi/Lidl aren't bad, but seem plain by comparison. Good, but basic....

No way is senility around the corner you just know what you like! We only seem to get Malomars in the winter around Christmas time. I think it's because they melt away to nothing in the heat. Now, if we're taking Strawberry Twizlers, Good and Plentys (industrial size box saw me through my quit smoking period), or those orange flavored chocolate balls you slam down and it breaks out into individual slices that sounds like some mighty good senility to me.
