WTH are y'all talking about?

The Large Hadron Collider (which is a bigger version of my local particle collider at Fermilab). I only sort of understand the physics behind it and the Higgs Boson.

If they find the Higgs and figure out what the "dark matter" is, it may rank as the greatest scientific discovery since Einstein's theory in 1913.

Very exciting, I wish them all the luck in the world. :yesnod:

And all th' success in th' universe!

and this is only half-power right now. Apparently the full power test last year VAPORIZED a wiring connector between umpteen miles of separate "chunks". They are going to play at 50% for a little while and then shut it all down and it will take a year to upgrade all the plugs.
