TR6 69 TR6 rebuild help

Hello,
I am going to attempt a carb rebuild shortly with a second pair of carbs. I have two questions: 1) I have a rebuild kit for both, and I noticed there are no new springs. Are any of these springs something that should be replaced? 2) The brass screw that goes through a spring above the fast idle cam is broken. Does anyone know what it is called so I can order one? Also what is the purpose of this screw? (I have three different manuals that show this screw, but none of them name it.)I don't see the purpose to this screw since the fast idle screw already seems to stop the fast idle cam.

ichthos,

The only brass screw on those carbs, that I can think of in the area you describe, are the ones that limit the rotation of the enrichment disc (choke).

That is, rotating these screws allows more enrichment or less enrichment (disc travel) for winter or summer starting.

1) Are the screw heads knurled?
2) is there a pin through the end of the screw?

Keep on.

For what it is worth,

1) The springs in the center of the assembly around the damper tube? Those should be fine unless they have been bent or stretched.

2) Try these guys if the big 3 don't make it easy to order: https://www.aptfast.com/

Yes, there is a brass pin through the screws, and it is knurled. What is its called? I still do not understand what it does. When I rotate the fast idle cam (choke cam) the fast idle screw seems to stop it before it gets to this brass screw. It does not appear that the big three carry this screw what ever it is called.

The springs I was refering to are the throttle return spring and starter box return spring. The reason I mention these two is because the throttle and choke plate don't seem to return well.
