Anybody in the LA/San Diego area know of a place to have the body blasted or acid dipped. I'm not sure of the procedure but I want to get the body onto a cradle and tow it to a place to have it totally stripped so I can see what kind of money I'll have to put into the body. Also, does anyone know of how to build a cradle or something that will allow me to move the car around. I've seen them somewhere but I cant think of where I saw it. Im starting with the body first. Then Im having the engine assembled after the parts have been machined. Ill just have the parts in the box ready to go because I read some of your post on waiting on the engine till the body is almost complete.

knowing XKE's pretty well and knowing how they can hold some 'oribble surprises when it comes to body corrosion, I would not have the shell acid dipped. However, you may find this link of interest - https://www.blastermaster.net/index.htm
