A friend approached me yesterday and asked if with all my MG connections...I knew of anyplace he could buy a complete 4 cyl. long block for a 68 Sunbeam. a pilot from the base brought him his car and wants it totally rebuilt...he wants to find one ready to drop in as he is buried in work...Thx.
 
I assume you're talking about the 5 main bearing 1724cc engine in the Alpine V and the later fastback Alpine. You can google Sunbeam Specialties and give them a call, they used to have some from Iran made in the 70s. Won't guarantee they still do but it's about the only hope other than just finding someone who has one squirreled away.

And if you're saying "Iran??", that's where the tooling was sold after production ended in England.
