T-Series '68 MGB GT Rear Hatch

I think there is a rail or stiffener missing that runs along the lower edge of the hatch opening on my GT. There are supports on each side of the spare that hold up the spare cover board. On each side where the long supports meet the rear body work I can see a short piece that is sort of Z-shaped. It's about 1" wide with a lip up on one edge and a lip down on the other edge. Does anyone have a picture to show what it looks like and how it connects to the lower rear body panel (Moss description) and latch?

I've got some cracking in the bondo repair due to flexing where the lower rear body panel meets the right rear quarter panel. I'll make the repair, but if a stiffener is needed I would like to put it in.

Any pics or description would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Lynn
