WARNING to all, if gauge problems, check fuse 7 before doing anything else.Month ago I posted about a low reading temp and gas gauge. Forum informed me of gauge voltage regulator/stabilizer so I ordered new one, put it in and no help. Part had info sheet from Moss on testing sequence, it led to more confusion, put wiring diagram on white board, saw stabilizer lead involved with #7 fuse, fuse blown, new fuse and it all worked sort of.
At start I bought new temp sender, then took temp gauge apart and tried to fix by adjusting 2 little slots so it got all messed up. Only help I could find is vague reference to one slot sets range and other starting point. Anyway with new fuse and after many trips up and down stairs with boiling water, it is now close but does not return to far left, stops at about 45deg. C. so I adjusted slot for starting point and will just see how it goes.
