$65 Million for pants!!!??

There is that old saying that a lawyer should never ask a question he doesn’t know the answer to. I wonder if Pearson followed that rule when he called himself to the stand. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

This case is a national embarrasement. The lawyer is an Administrative Law Judge....which probably means that you (the US taxpayer) are his employer; and that HE is ruling on cases. ALJs hear and rule on things like hearings for the National Labor Relations Board.

I understand he started crying when presented a pair of pantsthat the dry cleaner thought was the missing pair...seems as though the attorneyhad only wore pants with cuffs once in his life and knew that these were NOT his!

<sigh>

IF this {Superlative here} wins, what very little faith I had in Justice is vanquished for all time and beyond. A reasonable replacement fee for the pants and inconvience yes but $65 million? GIVE ME A BREAK!

"As Pearson explained that those weren't the pants for the suit, he choked up and left the courtroom crying after asking Bartnoff for a break." Seems to me the Chungs' in a show of good faith aught to take up a collection in the court room for Pearson as this idiot is badly in need of a shrink!!! I think I have a small clue as to why his wife divorced him....

Absurd... absolutely absurd.

I'd say it was crazy but it sounds like I'd get sued for libel, or defamation, or whatever....

I don't know what size this guy wears, but I can tell you, finding a 36 inch inseam in a 36 or less waist ain't easy. I'd probably settle for less than half what he's after, though. Maybe he would too. You need bargaining room.

I hear he's allowing it to be whittled down to $55M...

what a compassionate gesture. That'll pro'lly just *ruin* his next visit to armaniexchange... I feel for 'im.
