1965 MG Midget MK11 - $650 (gig harbor)

"Body in excellent shape, lots of good or new spare parts.I know its been said but there is really just surface rust, will post more later. but if you got a rusty one this is a great donor. no title sorry prior owner lost. check out pictures for now. will update, W/W with 2 eared knock-offs. primer grey with sky blue underneath. have a 1979 datsun 5-speed that goes with."

Boy I wish I was closer. Lots of bits there I could use.

But Drew, you are close.

As Rick know's those Midget's and the Mk 3 Sprite's are my favorite's. I'm full up as well but for that price I'd drag it home if it was closer. The transmission's alone are worth that and I need a good fender.

Kurt.

But Drew, you are close.

Not close enough, though. Shipping would at least double the cost (if not more), and even a road trip would be spendy (14 hr drive). Utah's just not near anything.

Drew, hook your trailer behind that Wrangler and go get it.

Google Maps says it's 865 miles from Gig Harbor, WA to Salt Lake City, UT.
That's a 1730 mile round trip.
Ouch!

Just a two day trip for a young guy....four days for me now!!

Kurt.

Rick nailed it, just too far for me to do comfortably. Now if I didn't have to work and could take a week to do the trip... Ah well.

We drove down to Fallbrook CA (south of LA) to bring Penny back here, took just two days and about 1400 miles. Two brutal days. Never again. Glad we did it and Penny made it here safely, but we saved no money once you figure gas and hotel stay.

Ah Drew, its not the money to be concerned with its about the adventure!!

Kurt.

Normally I'd agree 100% with you, but I need to be in money/time conservation mode now so I can finish Penny up before I'm too old to drive her.

I've no regrets about driving down to bring Penny home, though I would have loved to have another day. Well worth the adventure, though I NEVER want to drive in California again. At least not with pickup truck and long trailer. In miserable traffic...

It mite be worth it to pay the money load the trans and leave. No paper work.

I shot the seller a note to see if he'd be interested in parting with the 5-speed separately. They're not too hard to ship, and I'd love a spare (already have one dog-leg box in hand).
