65 B - also looks wrong

The interior is heinous. The MG badge on the grille is wrong too. And I've never seen a B, particularly a 'restored' '65, with the battery under the bonnet. And there were NO side lights on a '65, much less those bullet-looking things.

But remember, "Everything it's original except the things he replaced."
GHN4 is either a '68 or a '69. I can't read the rest of the number.
I would have bid, but the reserve was about $7498.98 too high for me.
Jeff

The interior is definitely from a later car. The serial number quoted places it as Mk II, built in 1968.

The chrome strips are missing off the sides too. Holes have been filled in Bet they have about $7,500 worth of filler in the car, hence the high price.

The sad thing is, someone will probably fall for the hype and buy it!

I'm at '68... lean to '68 as the tall hideous '69 headrests would have been too obvious a thing NOT to upholser with that ~ugh~ FINE imitation white cow. Dash arrangement, engine bay... twin SU's (not that they can't be replaced... Janel /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif ) shape/size of ID plate...

I'd pass... not as stated with regard to year, the rest is moot for the $$$.

No title either...if it's not such a big deal why doesn't "uncle" go get one?

Fear of deportation, perhaps?

You cynical old B******s!!!

...move o'er, I wanna sit down.

RUN - RUN - RUN!

wondering it it has hydraulics and if so were does he keep the batteries and that spot light is not original to the car think this car has had some culturally influenced modifications (hope that is politically correct term) these day if I offend I apologize

oh man.... now I'm wishing I never clicked on the link to see what everyone was talking about.... *gouges eyes out with hot pokers*

Battery under the bonnett, marker lights from god-knows-what, it looks like the 73-74 grille with the black plastic insert.
Looks like it was "restored" with a "this is stupid, or this'll work" mentality
The no title thing tops it, run, run away.

Maybe I'll just email Jose to clarify a few things.

I hate to say this but, I had to write the guy a message and tell him to advertise and sell the car as a rod, not a RESTORED MGB! Wide whites, mud flaps, two antennas with coon tails and some underbelly neon lights, (purple), might help in the sale. Is the car from LA? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/lol.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonod.gif

A $7500 car that "he's not 100% sure" you can get a title for... sitting in Calexico (CA/Mexico border town) with a genuine "Tijuana Tuck and Roll" upholstery job.

Hmmmm...

No red flags here....

BID AWAY MY FRIENDS!!! BID AWAY!!!!
