As of today...dummy me, when I ordered all new head stuff, I forgot to order new head stud washers! So, won't torque head until the new washers arrive...still got a few things to do though (haven't riveted plates on valve cover, for example).

Anyway, if I ever build another Midget engine, I've got the engine stand

Looking like a good little engine should.

That's looking really sharp Tony! I keep forgetting early cars have a draft tube off the tappet cover. What's the PSI of the mechanical fuel pumps? Are you going with the original timing marks, or have you setup something similar to what Hap does on his motors?

I talked with Jeff at Advanced Distributors this weekend...he doesn't have a kit for my particular crank pulley....Jack & I talked about a couple of options...gonna call Hap Monday...I'd like to do something so I don't have to get up underneath to set the timing....

Have no idea the PSI of the fuel pump...

But from his kit you can use the pointer and make your own marks on the pully.

I installed the pointer kit on my 1098. Really simple to do.Haven't fooled with timing yet and even have a brand new timing light. Engine is running fairly well and don't want to mess with it. It's on the list.

I can't put my finger on it, but there is something out of place about that engine......hmmmm.....wait, I got it! It's not covered in grease and oil!!

Ok, ok, just kidding! That looks great! I really enjoy seeing all the project updates here, gives me visions of what my cars should look like!

Jim - do you have the same pulley as me?
