Ran across this photo of a 60s E-type based hot rod. Looks to be probably a V8

More info

1962 Jaguar XK-E restyled in New Jersey by Dick "Korky" Korkes for Bobby Freedman. Built out of a fastback coupe, it featured a double Bubble Top split by a center panel with chrome bands across the roof. The hood was shaved and molded to the body to achieve a cleaner appearance. Side scoops trimmed with two chrome bars were made behind the front wheel openings. The headlights were tunneled into the body and the headlight housings were chromed. The Jaguar Bubble-top was powered by a fuel-injected Corvette engine. The car was fit with a pair of unique chromed pipe-style headers. Once the bodywork was done, it was painted Candy blue

It all looks super cool until the side vent and clunky pipes. better vent and slimline lake pipes would've carried their "cleaner" look a lot better.
I was born in Lawrenceville, Illinois down in the Wabash Valley and would visit G'ma and G'pa during the summer there for a couple of weeks. I found the local sports car shop during one early 70's visit and there were a few XK-140 panels lying in the yard with covered headlights installed and great stainless trim down the sides. The owners son explained they were going to junk that stuff out and it had been removed from a local XK-140 during it's conversion back to stock. Dad recalled the car from the 50's and said it looked super cool. I kind of like a custom job every once in a while.
