Admiring E-types & came across these pics.
pretty much says it all for '60's youth.
Recognize them?

great pics, though, being an LBC, I presume the girl in the second pic has been pushing.

A Mama and a Papa.

A Mama and a Papa.

Yep.
Michelle & John Phillips.
She was the driving force behind the Mamas & the Papas.
Last surviving original member.(hard living & drugs took their toll)
She went on to have a very successful film career after music.

Having just seen this today, was thinking great shots for a, Monday, Monday....

Only if it's 12:30 (One of their finest; harmonies are near perfect):

They were one of the best harmonizing groups of all time.

Umm.....PP&M were very good. Weavers pretty good. Kingston Trio took them all in one fell swoop.
Opinion.
Goodnight, Irene.

CSN was another group that had incredible harmony. & I still love their music.
( but to my taste, they wouldn't look that good draped across an LBC.)

Another great 60's group with great harmony were the Seekers! And Judith Durham had one of the most beautiful female folk voices of all time IMHO.

Gosh, all this folk music has me thinking about "A Mighty Wind." :wink-new:

Sorry. Couldn't resist. And, yes, I like folk music.

Lolololol

Both I remember all 3 of those very well. The "Strawberry Alarm Clock" sure were a one-hit wonder; perfectly timed to the psychedelic era.
Always loved the Ronstead song too... and it sure brings back high school memories.

I just saw these guys on a rerun of Dick Van Dyke show called "The Red Coats are Coming"
