No pics avaiable until later in the week, sorry~

$4000 firm~ no offers.
He just says it needs to have the brakes checked out before he would trust it on the freeway. It's got a Pinto engine in it.

His response to my email:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:]Hi Rick,
Wow..I guess everyone wants a Bugeye..
It is drivable now but it is probably best to have the brakes checked before doing any freeway driving a sit ha been in storage for a while. It is red with a soft-top. The paint is well, o.k., I guess but I would definitely repaint it.
It is not a BMC 1275 cc. engine but a Pinto engine that someone had done a swap on.
I will get pics to you when I can..later this week.
Maybe my mortgage holder could give me a line of credit... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Ok, I officially put this at the top of my Christmas list but my wife isn't being too sympathetic. She thinks that would be nice, but that it isn't real practical right now.

I've already started making deals in my head.
(what if I sold this & that...??)

No worries though, if it's like other Bugeyes that have sold around here it won't last long.

Give it up, Rick - you're done for! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

Stick a fork in me, I'm fully cooked!!

Mmmmm.... a little red Bugeye for Christmas... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Nah - someone swooped in very quickly and bought it "as-is".
The (now) PO is a nice guy, we have traded several emails over the past 24 hours. Truly a first come first served situation.

I just invited Bill Jones to the forum.
If you see him in the new members or over in the Mini or Jag areas say hi and welcome him aboard - he's a former Bugeye owner after all.
I asked him to stop by over here as well, I'm sure any Bugeye owner has stories to tell.
