In my youth, I never even considered getting to this point.
Sure is a different view from the finish end than the starting end.

Anyway, by bride and I are now both 60.....and today, been hitched for 40.

60/40 sounds like solder to me, eh?

Dave

Congrats on making it this far! Janet and I will hit 60 next year, and 38 years together.

Could be worse!

Congrats on good soldering! :jester:

We're both a year and a bit away from the Big Six Oh.

Dave - congrats to you both!

60/40 ... also sounds like a good investment allocation ratio for stocks/bonds for many folks - like me.

Tom

Bravo.. on your 60/40.
A good bottle of wine and a warm fire for both of you!!

Did a 62/40 a little over a year ago. Shirley and I took some time alone just to reflect on the special times we have had together. Funny how most of the best memories were things that did not have a great monetary cost attached.

Congrats and welcome to the over 40 club!

Congrats -- that's a respectable set of numbers.

Yes, Dave, that's quite a milestone.

You are a lucky man, enjoy it all you can!

Congrats to all of you that have hung in there. I'm a 63/35...wife's only a 59/35...

Now all I gotta do is get her "comfortable" in riding in the LF (passenger) seat in the Jag.
Blindfold?

Congrats !!!

I hope Kelly and I live long enough to make 40 years. We should be able to do 30-35, but ya just never know. Got married at 35, been 5 years. At the current rate of decay, I don't see me lastin' too much longer.

I love to hear stuff like this !!!

Only ten more years to the big 70/50 !!!!

Whatcha'll doin' fer the cellibrasun ???

Annual outing to the (expensive) seafood restaurant on the lake.

We generally don't do much, as it's so close to Christmas.

I did go down and have the florist send 4 red roses (one for each decade) with an arrangement to her at work (secretary at the Church office.....almost 30 years).

She liked that....
