Will a 6 inch wide wire wheel work okay on a 67 austin healey 3000? Also does anyone know of a good place in Atlanta to have tires mounted and balanced on the wire wheels. thanks tom

I'm pretty sure the 15 x 6 Cobra laced wheels would work. I expect Randy Forbes will chime in as it looks like he was running these at one time. If not, check with Hendrix wire wheels: https://www.hendrixwirewheel.com/ Alan will know. I'd just send the tires to him and let him set them up. He knows what he's doing and it would be a crapshoot going to someone local who wasn't recommended by someone with a good prior experience.

I have 15X6 72-spoke Daytons on my BJ8 (1967 3000), with 185/70 Vredesteins. The wheels/tires stick out about an inch from the sides of the wheel wells. I like the 'oversized' look, but some might not.

No problem with rubbing in the front, even at full lock, but the insides of the tires sometimes slightly rub the heads of the bolts that secure the rebounder box on the inside of the rear wheel wells during hard cornering.

Dayton 15 x 6 well-laced (OE on 289 AC Cobra); tires are 195/65 x 15.

They were actually very easy to mount by hand, and I haven't manually mounted a tire in decades.
