This is the end result of a four year restoration. Car has a ton of modifications including a post 60k body shell, since the original body was really just a pile of rust. Added were engine mods to include 87mm piston & liners, 282 deg cam, head milled 0.090" with hardened exhaust valve seats, and a few other goodies. Dual point Mallory distributor, rack & pinion steering, Toyota 5-speed box, Toyota 4-piston calipers, Delco 10SI alternator with narrow belt conversion, electric fan, Nippondenso gear reduction starter, Dan Master's wiring harness, front sway bar, wider wire wheels w/185/70-15 Vredestein tires, and an O2 sensor in the header for measuring air fuel ratios on the fly! Other then that, it's pretty much stock. :laugh: I did <span style="font-weight: bold">all</span> the work myself (with the exception of the machine work on the engine) in the garage including the paint job. :thirsty:

Nice job! I am in the same boat as you, but my work was done by the previous previous owner. Although my TR is a 1962 B, it has a 1958 engine block and a 1958 firewall. It was a basket case when the PPO got it from a gentleman in Tennessee about 12 years ago. The engine didn't run, it had MG seats, many interior panels were gone, and external panels rusted beyond repair (the firewall, obviously). Everything he did to it was either to make it more comfortable or reliable to drive; the restoration took him about 10 years. Like you, he added R&P steering, 195 tires and wire wheels, electronic ignition and cooling fan, radio and antenna, and loads of improvements like a SS gas tank.

My first car was a black/red 58, so every time I see one restored, I like to feel that it is my old car in a new life. (The chances are probably 1 in 25,000 or so.)

I have read about the Dan Master wiring harness....where did you locate the fuse panel? How hard was it to route and terminate the connections?

If you have more pictures of that work I would like to see them...I can shoot you my e-mail!
