Hi
removed the cam cover to replace the front seal
on a 948 motor
checked timing marks with distributor and things appear to be 180 off. if the front cyl is number one.
Is it possible to run the motor 180 off?
I should re set marks back to the way they should be.
firing order is 1342. but is 1 front or back?

#1 is at the front of the engine!!! It will run 180 out, but not well!!

Ok thanks but it runs just fine 180 out. been like that for 33 years.
Now I am just trying to get the fuel pump to start pumping again.
I think a bug made a home in it, will take apart on Sunday.
I have been bleeding the slave cylinder by loosing the the line fitting and not the bleed valve ans the bleed valve not possible to get to.
Not sure if I removed all the air but at 1/4 travel the rod starts to move.
