I figured out what to use for the door handles on a 58 Sprite.
58s never had the little chrome knobs and the levers were longer with a plastic coating on them.
I picked up 10 hot glue sticks and a tube of glittler from the local craft store.
Melt the glue sticks in a tall thin glass jar, it will boil and an electric stove is a better bet.
Once you have a full jar of slowing boiling glue, add 1/4 tube of glitter and let it boil some more to mix up the glitter. Dip the handle in the hot glue and hold them tip down until all the excess drips off. This took me a good solid 5 minutes over the jar on the stove. Once the glue is cool, snit off the end curly-que and hit it with a lighter to smooth off the tip.
I had an original plastic handle and this concoction is almost dead on. My glitter is a bit more coarse than the original but if someone is going to scrutinize it that close, I'll tell em where to go /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
