Had a young guy call me from a couple of towns east of here. He told me his Dad had gotten this MG from a Tx. doctor..and his dad passed it to him. Its a 58 A coupe and after cleaning the carbs had gotten it to run. o rust..couple of dings and scrapes. Wires...nice interior, stored in a barn since 94. He said it runs but only by putting gas in the primers?? Finally dawned on me that he was pouring raw gas in the dashpotsGGHH...Anyhow he fired me off numerous pics. Pretty nice car. Weird thing is that is has a strange stiched type black roof covering?? I'm trying to get it to the shop to check it out and hopefully help him sell it. If anyone is intersted let me know.

Jack, how do you manage to attract so many interesting cars and vehicles??! Can you bottle it and sell to the rest of us??!!

NOt too great..have a call in to him for side shots etc...

So, what kind of money is he thinking?

Tony...I talked to the kid and he said he knows its rare...yawn...anyhow...believe it or not hes in the manure business and said he'd like to sell or trade it for a decent car..I think it could be bought for between 6-7K...may be worth it as it has no rust according to him and even the floor are intact. Even if you are mildly interested I could driveover and look it over..only about 40 miles...let me know. And it may be even cheaper than that..I just can't say for sure.

I have one already - was just comparing prices.

I have a looker at my 911...maybe if it goes I'll pick up the car and have a pair. Hopefully the engine will be here late this week or early next week for the Porsche and I can get it out of my system.

Looks like it might have a vinyl roof added? Tell him money off for that and the tacky rear chrome strip (hope they stuck it on and didn't drill holes....)

I could find garage room. Not sure about the wife though.

C'mon Jack, that's mean! I'd never make my wife live in the garage!

Me neither.

She might start getting big-headed and want even more....
No-no...no wives living in the garage!! That's man space!

Man-cave......good. Woman in man-cave.....BAD!

You got that right Tony. Although out of the goodness of my heart I do allow her to keep her car in there.
