I posted on here some time ago about a bunch of old vehicles a family had inherited and I was helping in the sorting and selling of. As usual lawyers got involved and gummed up the works. That's straightened out and a couple of us are headed to the vehicles as soon as we can work out a schedule. I have the pick of this stash and after some thought have decided on the 52 TD. It was that or a 56 Oval Bug. Biggest problem is once I get it back home to my shop, it'll probably have to sit due to our traveling schedule..numerous mission trips here in the states and a big one to Vietnam. The good thing is it's complete, dry, not rusted or damaged. Wish me luck.

Sounds like you've got the good luck charm secure in your pocket!

At any rate, we're looking forward to seeing pictures once you've gotten into it. And pictures of Vietnam as well.

Off-topic, but one of the local TV stations did a week-long piece on several vets' recent trip there. Some powerful stuff occurred, including a reunion of sorts between a Viet Cong officer and a US soldier, who returned a captured Viet Cong flag.
