Not by me but a very close pal. The frame is totally done and powdercoated. Body is straight and pretty much good to go. Its currently in thousands of small chunks and scattered over his upholstery shop. The bad thing is..the man died and his wife started throwing things away..like 3 of the brake shoes, all the rears and the right front. Worse than that is the rear-end and axles survived but innards got tossed. I've been going through boxes and it looks like most everything else is there. Fender skirts, interior, glass' wheels...just about everything. I'd like to give him some good news but he's already talking about an alternate rear end to get it where it will roll around.
 
jack, there is a pretty active community for XK parts (and cars) world wide. It should not be too hard to come up with the parts. Depending on which rear axle (env or salisbury) I am fairly sure MK7 internals will work, but the axles are likely different. Finding brake shoes should be easy as well. In fact, pretty much everything is available though often at a price. The cars are an appriciating asset, and keeping it original (ish) will pay off in the long run.
 
appreciate the info. We're starting the search(he has no computer so guess its mostly on me) Anyhow...I'll try to keep him on the path of non altering and as close to stock as possible. As soon as we get the body closer to the frame I'll get some pics posted.
 
Jack, have him call Jack White, in Luray Va. 1 540 743 4037. (He does not have a computer either...). He is a trove of info, and has a ton of early parts books, and a head full of interehange info. He may or may not have the parts, but at least he should be able to help narrow the search.
