Her is a 5-Speed and A14 Engine available for sale in Dayton for $600.

I would love to have this one as a spare but I have too many projects going on right now, no space in the driveway, and no room for another engine and tranny in the garage. I am at my limit on how much I can handle right now and unfortunately need to pass on this one.

I talked to the owner. This was his HS Car and he drove and younger brother for many years. Both grew up, went to college and bought other cars. This one has been in parent's garage. They used to start in on a regular basis when they came home to visit. Eventually either battery went out from lack of charging or gas went bad. It did drive into the garage on it's own power but has not run in 3 1/2 years. Here is an opportunity to acquire not only a 5 speed but an A14 engine that will drop right into a Spridget and give you a 25% power increase over an A-Series 1275.

I want this one as a spare for Bugsy III project but if I ever get to that project he will have to do with a rebuilt smoothcase with zero hours on it instead.
Ping me if you want contact information as I have been in touch with Seller who is currently living in NY. Title is missing somewhere so Bill of Sale only. Offer $400 cash and you can likely take it home with you. I just wish I had time to take this one on.

PS Bill M has a pile of or used to have a pile of 4 speeds. Get one from him, swap out trannys and resell the car. Good luck.

Someone needs this 5 speed.

Were it closer...

That's what I said!

get engine fired up and drive it home. Appears roadworthy.

Unfortunately the power for those are the smogged up and depowered A14 engine's. The 210 2dr coupe is a really good looking little econ-box and that one doesn't appear to be rusted away like most. What is really needed is a title and enjoy the car as is. I would guess it will sell quickly. As mentioned.....if only it were closer!!

Kurt.

It has New York plates on the car. Owner can apply for and get a duplicate title. That should not be an issue as he lives in NY. That's a trip to local BMV that he would need to make.

It appears I've passed the opportunity off to another Dayton BE person Tim Bosse. He's got a BE he's trying to bring back to life and needs a BE or Mk II rear suspension if anyone has one available. He indicated he is going to go look at the car and likely drag it home. He's maybe 6 miles away. Again too many projects when the opportunity strikes to take advantage of this one unfortunately.

Well, I'm a Datsun nut as well as British cars. I hope he doesn't scrap the car. If interested in the engine he could change to the 70's cam and head and have a nice powerplant to go with the transmission. If I didn't want the car I think I would be looking for a 70's B210 to take the engine and 4 speed out of and do reassembly to end up with a couple of nice cars.

Kurt.

Jim,
I'm glad Tim's gonna give it a shot and I hope he get it!

I'll let everyone know. And he does need a BE rear end. I found him a set of springs.

Update - Tim Bossee went and looked at this 210 on Sunday. Unfortunately car is a 4 speed not a 5 speed. Bummer. He passed on it.
