She started right up and I did zero pre-start prep!

70F and Sunny, a nearly perfect day for a cruise around town.

I took my 6-year old daughter with me for her first trip in the TR. Her reaction - "Can you slow down daddy, the wind is making me cold?"

I guess I will have to toughen her up a bit!

At least she didn't say it was messing up her hair...

And did you say "I TRIED to tell you that was a luggage rack and NOT a child seat?!"

I imagine your daughter will remember it forever. Isn't it amazing when the car just starts. Brings a grin.

She was in the trunk (sorry, boot), which is why I can't understand why she was complaining about the wind!

I hope she does remember it forever, but not because she was cold!

I had quite a grin when the old TRactor fired up after only about 15 seconds of cranking (3 * 5 seconds, before someone chastises me for letting her crank too long!).

She'll remember it alright. You won't believe the grin on her face the first time you let her drive it (+ 10 years). My daughter was 3 when I got my TR6 and I let her drive it 4 years ago. She loved it and couldn't stop talking about all the memories of riding in the car.

So does that mean I should have let my 3 yr old help me with the angle grinder slicing up the floors on the MGC?

Kidding aside, that is something to look forward to Brent. Very cool.

my daughter is 9, and she can't make up her mind on the spitty or the tr8.
she is going to have to have more garage time if she wants to drive one.
but it sure is nice when she does help out.
