I drove a 3.4L sedan (MK1) Jaguar again.
I've got my MK2, but a local guy stopped by with his former Concours Winner, and we swapped for a bit.
He'd never driven a RHD Jag, and I hadn't been in a MK1 since 1965.
Just like I remembered, only his leather was nicer.

Funny, you get used to the sound of an engine, ya know....usually don't even need the tach to shift.....

My 2.4L really tachs up before I shift (prolly that 4.55 rear end), but, geez, I was going by sound and his tach was 2500 max.

Who knows.
Mebbee my tach is off.

Mk1's were mechanical, right?

Anyway, good day.....even vacuumed the brake fluid out of the master on my 50 Ford, replaced with new, bled at the cylinder...adjusted the brakes......greased the front end....washed it.....went to dinner.....once it was dry, washied it again (and used a toothbrush on the seams), so it's back up and running.

Ya never know what a day will bring you.

Geez, those Mk1's are nice......

Quit it!!

...or don't.

Every day is a new one. And yes, th' Mk-I was cable driven. Would that it were still thus.

You use soap? Heir Insturktor said it was really hard on paint. You'da like him. He was on MB factory race team in the 50's and raced gull wings. He's probably dead now or REALLY old.

Sat outside....near Seattle....all winter....this green stuff tends to grow along the seams and edges.......scrub all you want, when it dries, well, you can see where it needs a bit more.

Kinda like that there Spanish Moss hanging from the trees in the deep south...only on cars.....

Now that DKW is a wunnerful car for the great PNW.
Couple a washings, rub it out a bit, some sheet metal screws, and it'll be fine.

JP- Is that a crack at the GNW.
Might be offended.
