The tires are Michelin red stripes tube tires.
Other than the splits along the outer tread/sidewall Union, they are in great shape.
However I do not know how old they are.
The pics are of the front tires, which I'm running at 30psi (max 32)
I would appreciate wire wheel tire replacement recommendations, if deemed necessary.
advise appreciated.
thanks
Guy

Please tell us you're kidding, Guy! Those things are bombs just waiting to go off if you try to drive at highway speeds.
having "0" experience with old tires, I was lucky to have driven so much the past few weeks without a blow out!
The disturbing thing about these tires is that less than a month ago, Charleston imports, worked on brakes & front suspension, but totally missed the deterioration of the mich 185x15's.
after recommendations from Bo, I contacted Hendrix auto in Greensboro, NC.
while I could have sent my 60 spoke painted wheels in for tuning & mounting new tires, the wait was 2-3 weeks, min. & out to two months with redstripe orders(diamondback drop ship)
so I opted for new chrome wheels & vredsteins 185x15's. Pricy, but most expedient. Plus the condition of my wire wheels was an unknown. If all seems well after I get my new sets in, I will eBay my old ones ( the red stripes might be preferred for show use, even though they are past driving days)
