#37. TR3 arm rest review

My wife and I are planning a drive up the blue ridge parkway & Smokey Mt. next week.
i wanted a convenient place to store the necessary "small stuff". So I purchased this arm rest console from Moss (catalog #643-895) for what proved to be a premium price of $129.99.

first the short list of the Good:
it will do.
it does fit.
First appearances are good.

comfortable enough arm rest.

Now the Bad and not so good:
it is not durable.
it will not last.
plastic housing is as flimsy as a chineses take out dish. (Come-on here, how much difference in cost is "good plastic" vs. "bad plastic".)
Arm rest should be taller & offer more padding.
no dividers in the compartment
cup holder is to shallow to be of much use
the hinge belongs on a rabbit cage, not a car
Even the rivets are close to factory seconds.
nothing provided to secure arm rest to the tunnel.
(Not even pre-drilled holes in the base of the console)
If I were to see this thing at "The Dollar General"
(where it belongs, by the way)
i would think $19.99......
in short I would not recommend or purchase again.
