Hi Folks;

I`m wondering if there is anyone in the NE part of PA who either Owns or Knows of someone that does Own a Porsche 356A Speedster Reproduction?

Has anyone out there driven one? If Yes; Whats your Impression?

I don't have one but would love to own a Beck 550 replica. My wife says sell the Audi and get one. Anyone want to buy a 2000 TT with 10K miles? Still, the creature comforts of the Audi is very hard to beat, especially compared to a spartan early Porsche.

I had the oppertunity to drive a 356 roadster replica built on a VW beetle chassis (of course) that had some minor "warming over" of the engine.
It was also built using mostly new parts in the suspension and brakes, so it was tight and smooth (for a Beetle)
And I can say, from driving a few original 356 coupes, that it was strikingly similar to a real one. They were almost the same car back then anyway.
The biggest thing is the quality of the build. The whole car hinges on the level of skill that went into putting it togeather.
It's just like replica Cobras. I've drivin some really great ones, and some that I coulden't wait to get out of.
I regret to this day not getting that 356 replica. That was a very cool car.
That one drove and handled well and was comfortable to be in.
