35 Years - End of an Era

View attachment 50791View attachment 50792I just turned in my gear after being a Volunteer Firefighter.
I started in 1975 (I took a break for seven years).
Don't need any "pats on the back" - just seems weird to not be
doing this any more.

Doors close, others open - good on you for your service - and good on you for a whole new adventure!

And I just ended 44 years at Safeway.
Just one day to get packed up & go.
I still can't believe we're doing this.

Last time I checked.
Virginia has fire and emergency need too.
I'm sure they'll meet you with open arms

Don,

Thanks,but I don't think that I could do that as a job.
For the last 5+ years,I've been doing traffic control, etc,a job that pays
nothing,but I've really enjoyed it.

Bring your expertise to the small town you will end up in.
They might need it
