#35 new coil remains the old problem

Trying to give the new pertronix flamethrower III 45k volt 03.2 ohms coil the benefit of the doubt, I purchased the compatible pertronix wires.

& it seemed to work, ran smooth & strong for about 2 hrs. Then the familiar hesitation & missing again.

so I've shelved that coil for good & went back to the gold colored Lucas racing coil.
While it does solve the problem, I have to admit I really liked the extra pep of the pertronix coil.

so I found the flamethrower II model at TRF for $22., (on sale) & will see how that works out, when it gets here.

the flamethrower II coil worked out great.
more power than the Lucas, smoother running & quicker acceleration also. Though I can't say how old the Lucas coil really is. It looks fairly new. All in all I'm very happy with the flame II.
