#33. Leaky float bowl. SU H6

I have gradually become aware ( as have many, many others on the forum,[evident by the # of search hits on this topic], going back thru the years), that if you look at the float bowls funny......they begin to leak at the banjo.
i have a dog like that too.

I believe part of my problem was self induced, by adding heavier, jacketed fuel lines & filter to the forward carby for increased heat protection & aesthetics. It may be torquing the vitron seals on the banjo stud to much.
the fix is using a larger diameter washer above the upper vitron gasket, that puts uniform pressure past the circumference of the rubber seal, and just for insurance , a healthy smear of hylomar blue on the faces of the vitron gaskets and washers.

for now....... No more leaks.
