#32 correct fuel line location

With Forum help, i finally realized my carb feed fuel line & carb vacuum line were not in the correct location.
the old location must have been one of convenience, as the steel 1/4 O.D. Tube ran between the back of the thermostat housing and the valve cover.
So, not only was this incorrect ( that fact didn't bother me much, as I am not trying to be concours), but it was also arguably one of the hottest points in the engine bay, and asking for vapor lock.

i ordered the correct hanger and grommet from Moss and attached it to the front of the thermostat housing cover lower bolt.
it was fairly easy to re-bend the steel tubing & run the tube thru the hanger. I was a little worried about stability of the tube, (hanging out above the waterpump & belt pulley like that) but once connected to both hose ends, it was not a problem.

in addition I replaced the old rubber tubing connectors at the carb with braided stainless steel covered(TRF), to give better thermal protection & improve the aesthetics also.
i also replaced the plastic fuel filter with a Harley shop chrome/glass one.
Still need to re-run the vacuum line....but that will be easy.
i warmed her up & took some readings:
drivers side steel tube: 120
passenger side: 150

It's worth noting that every time I shifted the fuel bowl while configuring the fuel line, I caused a leak at the bowl stem. Easy to fix, by re tightening, but something to be aware of.
adjusted the timing & carbs & went for a short spin.

Still running rough below 2500 RPM, but ran strong above 3k.

Corrected the carb/distributor vacuum line location
