My son and I are in the very early stages of rebuilding our 1959 BT7. We acquired this car from the widow of the previous owner who had completely disassembled the car before his illness, therefore we don't know anything about it's history.
We do have the chassis plate which gives the number as HBT7L/8108 so we know this is an early 3000. The grill however has 100-6 on it. I know from some reading that some of the early 3000s had the 100-6 logo on the grill but given the number of this car (8108) it doesn't seem like this was one of the first few off the line. What your thoughts - could this be the original grill?
