3000 brake light switch

anybody know if the hydraulic switches the parts
stores sell( NAPA etc.) fit a healey? they look the same
and appear to be the same thread. would save me having to order one. i don't want to pull mine off until i have a replacement.

Yes the NAPA is useable. You may have to adjust the connectors on the end depending on the switch style. I have used both oil psi and brake switches. I have had problems with the oil psi switches leaking after awhile.I believe (trying to remember) they are 1\8 pipe thread and a normally open contact. Sometimes you have to use the catalogs and just look for that combo.

Teflon tape. It also helps ease the mismatched threads together.

Aloha Ford Healey,

I have found several things are available from NAPA. The key seems to be to find a counter man that will look throught the books with you. I've used their stop lamp switch, part # ECHSL144 on my MG and TR3. It has the screw post wiring attachments, but they have one for spade connections. I can get ignition points, distributor rotors, condensers and long neck radiator caps from NAPA also.
