3000 Boot Lock nomenclature

Finally disassembled my boot lock and found that it was rusted tight. Regrettably I dismissed this possibility before testing Pete Groh's massive collection of Healey keys and finding that none would unlock it--and that was because, as Pete had warned, it was frozen with rust. I would simply order the common Healey key for the lock, as the number is on the shaft and the tumbler, but as the lock washer had been spot welded to the shaft (I cut that weld to open it last night), a forum member suggested there was a chance the lock had been changed. Rather than take a chance on ordering keys that won't work, I would like to rekey the tumbler to use my non-standard Lucas ignition key (the blanks for which were supplied by Pete). I find lots of info on the Web describing the working of pin locks, which I have taken apart in the past, but nothing about the lock type used on Healeys. So, does anyone know the proper name for this type of lock? The innards, tiny blades, are spring loaded, and I don't want to spill them on the work bench, or more likely, as is my habit, on the dirty garage floor.

Probably you must change your BOOT LID HANDLE
normally sell with the 2 key (you can ask the same number of the ignition key at the order)

or you can order only the -Ignition Key and barrel- probably it fit in your handle
-normally you can find it on Electrical Switches section of catalog(you can ask the same number of the ignition key at the order)

That was excellent. I didn't know the tiny plates would come out, so after inserting my ignition key, i simply filed off the protruding tip of one plate. This was done by the author of this piece, though he also swapped one plate. A very helpful exposition Thanks.
