I'm thinking the reserve is $750 or better. I wouldn't go over $800.

I know Tony, I know. But at $800, ready to go, that's still not a terrible price for an early od. I know, I know, and I told dahubby we'll build the car sans OD and see. We can always put the od in later.

trman? It's NOT a rumpfy od, is it???

You have pm Tony.

ya gotta watch those Rumph guys, they buy stuff like this for boat anchors.

Isn't that funny? And I thought that was what rumpfs were for.

I know you really want one but if it is to save fuel I would imagine it would take 40 years to make up the difference unless you drive across the US daily.

The OD only lowers the rpm a bit. I rarely use mine in the Healey since I am rarely on long no shifting drives.

Just a thought.

We do a lot of long, no-shifting driving in Emma. We take a lot of road trips in her. I say we wait, use that $800 for a Pertronix, few other goodies. We can always decide later if we want one and start looking again. After we get the od in Emma, we'll drive her awhile and we'll know more.

Sorry, Janel, I always forget to look up there

$800 + $110 = way too much!

I don't think $720 is too much for a D-type OD transmission, fully rebuilt with shifter and solenoid, ready to install.

I always factor in the shipping when I decide on my max amount. So the $800 max is technically a $700 max. Confusing, I know.

I'm in the minority here, I know....

...I know they go for that much everywhere....however, I have an OD for every one of my MGB's & now have one I'm converting for my MGC - & I've never paid over $400 for any of them...& have never sold one for over $500

...It did take me several years to find the 3-syncro OD unit I just bought & included in that purchase was also a late OD...

...so, I'll just keep on looking (& keep on finding them)

You know it - but it took me 5 years to find mine!

Beena's not going anywhere soon!

Sniped with 7 seconds left, od sold for $1250. Exactly double my max bid. Strange, huh? I'm guessing reserve was right about there.
