3.55 rear gear set for sale

Compared to what Spitfire R&P go for, that's not bad (yet). I was able to pick up a NOS 3.63 for my Spitfire off Fleabay a while back for $125. It was my lucky day.

BTW Gundy, the British car show is coming up at Furman again. You coming?

I wouldn't miss the Scottish Games car show for anything!
Last year I joined a Clan for the free food and single malt scotch not to mention no waiting in those long food lines.
This year I'm wearing a kilt. :thirsty:
We had a great time last year.
I don't expect to win anything in my old rattle trap but just hanging out with all those incredible cars was worth the price of admission.
Maybe this year ya'll will keep the Spits out of my class so I have a chance.
At least the Beauty Queens know a winner when they see one.

ROFLMAO....we all know there is NO graceful entry or exit in these things. I'll just caution the weak to avert their eyes.

I'm taking odds on whether I can convince the Prince to sit in Screamin' Mimi.

I keep thinking of wearing my kilt to a show and then I think of the children, it's always the children that suffer most.

If you wear underwear, it's a skirt.

uhhh...wouldn't the correct term be panties if a "man" so
inclined wore them 'neath a kilt?

Now that my friends is a fine ditty! Ring ding indeed!
I think I'll download that fine song to my MP3 for the Car Show
and blast it over my 200 watt system with boombox speakers.
Maybe stick some ribbons on the antenna in case some hardy lassies feel adventuresome.
:thankyousign:

Aye that.

On the other hand, nothing is "worn" under that kilt

LOL, I just had a mechanic tell me one of the reasons he got into working on Midgets was that lots of women bought them originally and he enjoyed watching them get out of the car.

groan. (though you're right - I wonder if Britney knows what it is for?)

actually, and seriously now, a couple of years ago, in Scotland, I met a guy who owns a limo company in Wick. He was telling me that he had chauffeured the queen and Prince Philip. When he was approached, he was asked if he had any "walk-through" limos? He said, what is a "walk-through" limo? Turns out it is a limo that you can step into and sit down as opposed to set your bum in and swivel your legs. The queen only does walk through. Anyway, he had some older Daimlers so was good to go.

Back to the topic at hand, I think for that kinda money, a narrowed RX axle will be my choice. Good ratio and will handle plenty of power.

I think for most Spridgets the axles are the "fuse"
back there. In my youth I could destroy those things almost at will. Upgrades are available to handle the output of A series street engines. I know I've done a few high RPM downshifts that would probably have toasted a stock axle. Knock on wood.
The comp axles ain't cheap however.
What is the ratio of the RX diff?
