No pics as yet, but https://www.hymanltd.com has a BE which they want $25k for. Better be real nice, it doesn't even have the original engine!
 
Dealers always want to charge a premium. An original restored could be worth that, even though a nicely done one with those upgrade might be more fun to drive... I'm planning many of those things right now. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Sounds like you and I are on the exact same path with our BE's. Hopefully in the next few months, I'll be assembling a 1275 engine, connecting it to a 5 speed transmission and putitng it into my car. I'm even in the process of putting together a website documenting the work. I haven't checked it out yet, but I know you've already done it.

I have a feeling we'll be tossing posts back and forth.
You're in Utah, I'm in N.J....maybe we'll meet up next year in the Ozarks.
 
You called it, Mike. I'm just dong my best to not add up the costs. It's worth it to me, and that's all that matters. That folder with all the receipts is just for historical purposes. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Bruce, we do seem to be on similar paths. I'm hoping to start the engine work later this year, with the goal to have it all fettled and ready for the Sprite meet in 2008. Got my room reservations already, that's my big motivator.
