Oh yeah....I was going to paint that wasn't I?
well needless to say, I didn't get the nose on.
i forgot I intended to repaint the front part of the engine compartment & I forgot I was missing 6 of the 12 chrome trim channel links ( used to attach the chrome strips between the front wings & the apron)

incidentily, I couldn't find any replacements in the catalogs, so I ended up cutting the six I had longwise & using them. Narrower, but they should work, as they don't have much stress on them.
(this idea didn't work well, two broke with metal fatigue, so I ordered the rear beads with fixtures from TRF and will barrow the fixtures, a further delay, but who's counting)

additionally, I removed the distributor & collar & cleaned them up ( repainting the collar).
When I reinstall it I think I'll shim the collar up a 1/4",
as it didn't seem to get much purchase on the distributor neck, thus the distributor was to easy to turn.( this worked well. The distributor is snugged down correctly)

I did get the carpet & seats back in.
Lastly I positioned the Radiator duct, so I should be ready to put the nose on shortly.

( had to redo all that, & make the fan a puller: see blog #25, if interested)
