Thought you might be interested in a preview of the 2015 Austin-Healey Calendar. It's at the printer right now and will be mailed this week (and it goes Periodical Rate, so the USPS promises to deliver it within 90 days ... probably). Anyway, here's Miss January, the original 1955 London Motor Show car that introduced the 100M to the world:

I photographed it at the Homestead Conclave in Hot Springs, Virginia, last June.
 
Still looks as nice as the day it was debuted at the Sturbridge, MA Conclave in 1991. Good story behind this one. The restorer, Al Alfano, bought it from noted Healey collector Bill Wood. Neither one knew it was the Earl's Court car. While doing the resto, Alan found some pink colored Hardura that looked original and tracked down its history from there. Alan did an extremely accurate restoration, by which I mean stuff like counting the number of stitches per inch in the upholstery. It really is an extremely striking car. Whatever Al sold it for is probably a fraction of what it would bring now.
 
Were the Lucas PL700 headlights original on the car?
I would assume, being the restoration is of high quality.

I was there in 1991. Yes, it was VERY impressive then, as now.

I have heard the sale price from last year (Al sold it to John Hodgman some years ago and John recently sold it to Martin Stickley), and while I'm not at liberty to state the sales price, I can tell you that it was a very impressive number.
