Ski Joring appears to be all about a fast quarter horse and a skier dumb enough to hang on to the rope and make some jumps and gates.

Met Scott Ping (on horse) briefly. When he says he wasn't there cause he was broke I later learned means his body was broke. The practice at his ranch Sunday for the 2 day real deal this weekend had keg, big fire, chili, 30 or so horses, lots of cowboys and me.

OK, You win. I was gonna brag about how I am going motorcycle ice racing this Sunday, but I think your event sounds even more interesting.
Post us some pics when you get home. that looks really neat.
Sounds like that sport has been around for quite a while, but I've never heard of it.
 
Not mine but a couple of short videos. No I did not ski and don't ride horses. The mules were a hoot, the riders yell at them all the way around.
