Might be a bit early but wondering how people who lives far from the Ozarks are getting there.

(1) Driving their Spridget there?
(2) Towing their Spridget?
(3) Leaving their Spridget home?

It's a long way from New Jersey! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/tired.gif

Actually - Just looked it up..about 1000 miles and 15 hours according to Mapquest.Hmmmm...I smell a caravan.....

If we attend & bring our '63 Midget, we'll tow it.

I could go either way....might tow the spridget as my freelander is a more comfortable vehicle to travel in and since the spridget isnt running right now....ideally we would drive the car in....ideally.

We're currently planning on the trip, and we'll tow the Bugeye. It's long, boring drive from Utah, and the only way my wife would go is if we were in the comfy truck.

If I go then I'll drive. Most likely drive it in a day. I'll hopefully will be driving the Sprite by that point.

I drove the Midget to Gatlinburg last summer and it was an easy and comfortable drive with no mishaps.

As it looks right now we probably won't go, it is around 2000 miles from where we live, a wee far to drive weather you are towing or not. :-(

Bruce, I am about the same distance as you, if I go it would have to be a tow.

Maybe we could caravan.

Patrick

Will drive it, only 3 hours and some change.
If anyone will be passing through Central Il, let me know.

There are a lot of cars in this forum I'm looking forward to seeing...

When it gets closer to time we should set up some sort of means of posting our itineraries and routes. Then people can adjust plans if they want to caravan. It would be great travel in a pack of midgets/sprites.

Trevor,

That's a great idea. I'll even volunteer to work on that.

Let Jack know in case they already have something in the works...

Towing

Jack,

Anyone working on setting up caravans, routes - logicstics for groups that want to get to Caravan to the Get Together? If not I'll toss my hat into that ring ( if I wore a hat). Would be good practice on my web/server skills.

Sounds like an admirable undertakeing for the folks here especialy.

We will of course have advance registration etc etc as we get on down the road.

Yee Haaa. get in line there, crack that wip, head em up move em out.

Go for it, remember now it is not till summer 2008.

I'm looking forward to driving my 59BE from Los Angeles. I will take a more "picturesque" route, checking out old Route 66 etc. and taking my time.
Roy

Well, lets see...its Feb 2007. If I start now, I might have the clutch replaced in my '63 Midget by then....hehehehe

Heck Tony, bring it along without the clutch and we well do it in the parking lot. Bring tools and some rope and a 2x4 should have lots of experts.

Jack - last time I backed it in the garage, there was just enough clutch left to get over the concrete lip..& she smelled - I burned her good! New kit sitting on the floorboard, hood already loose, battery is out, fluids drained...just a Saturday job!

I'm driving out in my Bugeye, my son will be driving out in the 58 Bugeye, my daughter wants to drive the 69 Midget so I can't sell it for another year and a half.
So we will be driving out (2 day drive) in a few Spridgets.
I am flying out there in 2 weeks to check out the accomadations and do some leg work to get things rolling.
Bruce, if you want to join us, you gotta keep up /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
