2008 Get Smart Alpine -- Warning High-Res Images

Remember how "The Italian Job" sold tens of thousands of new MINI Coopers for BMW? This movie may have a similar effect for Alpines.

If you're thinking about a nice Alpine (or Tiger, for that matter), better get it now: Alpine prices are likely to skyrocket once this film is screened and popular! :shocked:

The problem is everyone knows what a MINI is, even though the car is in the movie only a few would know what kind it is.

I dunno...no Don Adams? (Yes, I know he's gone.) only an Alpine instead of a Tiger? Guess I'll pass on this needless remake as well. :wink:

He has an Alpine in these pictures, probably because he is going to wreck it. Hopefully he will be driving a Tiger in other shots. Remember the movie Commando, they used both Tigers and Alpines during the different driving scenes.

And the one shot of the undertray suggests mods have been added.

That tray is to protect the engine when it jumped off the stairs. Steve Carell mentioned that the car survived all the stunts.

I ran into a guy in Sisters Oregon who says he purchased the Don Adams Tiger used in the TV series. He also had a rather nice E type Jag coupe in his garage. I was only there to purchase some lowly subaru wheels.
