Sadly, Janet and I have decided to sell her beloved Jag - we've had it since June of '19. Zircon blue with navy blue top and ivory interior. Odometer reads 22,209; documented original. We've put around 5,000 miles on it.
Have history on it: Original owner was a woman. When she died, her son brought it to California. Then bought by a gentleman in Knoxville. He developed Alzheimer's and had to sell it, which is when we bought it. He kept very good records, which, of course, will go with the car.
Since we've had it I've replaced the ECM in the transmission and all its seals and fluid. Transmission was jerking when pulling up to a stop and "squawking" when downshifting into passing gear, symptoms of ECM malfunctioning and fluid deterioration - was told that was probably from lack of driving - shifts perfectly now. Replaced the upper shock mounts with upgrades and installed new Bilstein shocks. Replaced all the convertible top hydraulics, including hoses, rams, top latch and fluid. The shock mounts and the top issues are common to these cars, and both of these areas are now redone to eliminate those issues. Installed new Continental Extreme Contact tires last year, and replaced the battery. Everything works as it should, except for the seat headrest motors, which I understand is a common issue with these.
Can provide any pictures to anyone interested.
Pricing it at $18,000.
