2 seat/topless/coupe? Batmobile

amazing the lengths people will go in this (and any) hobby though I must confess, while watching the video I realized the Batmobile I would want to own is the original.

Agree, after initial Wow it's the Batmobile, found myself thinking why? but them immediately why not? Owners Dad was there looking @my TR6 said I had one of these Loved It but my son talked me into trading it for a corvette wished I hadn't listen to him, he's had all kinds of cars lambos, porsche, ferraris but never keeps anything of them. Google Nate Truman Batmobile you can see he's been bitten :rolleye:by this Bat Thing for a number of years built several Batmobile replicar including the original

Met a guy who built an original 60's Batmobile replica. But unlike the true originals, which were TV props and only had to (barely) work on camera, he built his as a driver. And he uses it as a daily driver.

He's traveled all over the country with it, too. No trailer. He just drives it everywhere. He loves the kick everybody, everywhere gets out of it.

Perhaps like all superheros he's just a regular guy in regular clothing unless there's crime to be attended to then POW! WHACK! Zap! we know the drill.

You could tell he loves his work/Batmobile shortly after parking, setting up rope barracade he got out the Cali duster then indulged in 2 hrs of "Therapy" spray detailer & rubbing on it

I'm definitely more partial to the original Batmobile. I was driving around Boca Raton in rental car when I spotted a Batmobile parked in a mall parking lot. I whipped the car around and went to see. I walked up to the guy and said "You don't get to see something like this every day", to which he replied "I do". Touche

It was a very well done replica, built on a Lincoln chassis, like the original. It was a perfect copy right down to the various placards on the instruments.

Here's a pic of the replica:
