2 BJ-7 Aluminum Door finisher beading questions.

1) does the finisher beading on the trim panel on the door latch side goo up the side and over the top of the panel, stopping at the inner door seal or just up the side of the panel).

2)The beading I have is a very small diameter similar to image 1. I have seen other pics of a much larger beading image 2, and like it's look much more.

Any suggestions?

PS-
John Loftus,
If you see this would you recheck the "door finisher" post. I added a clerification.

Re: 2 BJ-7 Aluminum Door finisher beading question

Up and over like your second picture which is a BJ7-8. The first picture is of an earlier car. I believe the original dia. is the smaller type.

Sorry, don't know where to find aluminum sheet in the original pattern except for KAS.

Re: 2 BJ-7 Aluminum Door finisher beading question

Robert,
I'm at the same place as you are with my 63 BJ7 #20040. Did you get your frame and panel alignment figured out? I know that it is an extremely difficult task.

I see that you are in Iowa. That is where I'm from and where I have picked up all of my Healeys including #20040 as well as a truck load of spare parts. My brother had a 63 BJ7 #19669 and sold it in Iowa City back in 74'. Is this your car?
Let me know what you find out on your trim and I will keep watching the replies here.
