19th Annual Champagne British Car Festival

Offline
The 19th annual CBCF was held today (a new date, off of Memorial Day!) and at a new venue (David Davis Mansion in Bloomington, IL)

I drove over with four MGB V8 conversions and a supercharged MGB.

It was a perfect day (not overly hot and a lot of sun; the car display was on grass instead of asphalt; about 130 British cars on the showfield).

My 1969 MGC tourer "kicked butt" in its class, taking a first class trophy.

Of course, when there is only one car in your class, it's hard to be beaten.

Rick,

Congrats! We switched planes in Chicago last month.
I wish I could have stayed & explored your area.

Rick,
Glad you pulled off the first in class!

I was afraid you were going to get last in your class! :jester:

LOL!

It was great seeing you, Rich!

This was one very nice show and I am glad that I finally made it down for it. The location was one of the best for a show that I ever attended. The mansion and surrounding grounds make for a very nice setting. I would suggest everyone who can to attend next year. With luck the weather will also be as nice.
