TR2/3/3A 19960 TR3A driver side rubber shield

So, I'm sitting here looking at a brand new rubber piece that is supposed to go on the driver side upholstery panel. Wear prevention I would imagine. Nice touch on the part of the Standard Triumph folks. My question is, how am I supposed to attach, fix it, or mount it, to the upholstery panel? I have some adhesive called "shoe goo" that has interesting adhesive. malleable properties and might do a good job.

Any how, tips, ideas or "how I did it" comments would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers, Tinkerman

Or possibly a rubber pad for the kick panel just aft of the dipper switch? Sort of a tall thin D shape.

Also - sometimes a similar pad on the tunnel by the accelerator.

A photo would help.

If you refer to the small pad by the headlight dip switch, I got it sewn with an industrial sewing machine, but the number of stitches is so small that you could well sew it by hand, too.
Anyway, I imagine that the finish by sewing would be superior to gluing on a fleecy surface.

I wonder if he's talking about that piece of trim the runs up the b post inside the door opening...I know I brush against it when I get in and out of the car.

I am referring to the small pad mounted just in front of the dipping switch, roughly 7 inches long and 3 in width. I feel certain it is used to protect the side carpet just before the dipping switch.
All thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated!
Cheers, Dick

Mine came pre-installed when I bought the carpet/interior set from TRF. It's sewed on.
