1994 Mercedes ABS light

My brother in law (the same one who sold us the 230SL) now has a 1994 Mercedes. He said the ABS light stays on. I don't know what model the car is but I think it is a "C" class. I have read that it could possibly be a relay or just clean the sensors and activators at the wheels.
He said the accelerator pedal is a little hard to push and someone told him that this was connected to the ABS problem.Anyone have any experience with this?
